Difference in playing style

A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I argued in a pub: who gambles more often - guys or girls? One claimed that women's addiction is much more serious, saying that they often hide it. Another insisted that sports betting is an exclusively male sphere. At first, I didn't know what to say, but then I came across a very interesting article - https://www.uvig.org/which-gender-gambles-more/. It explains in great detail how habits change with age, and why it is important to look not only at gender, but also at cultural characteristics. It is especially interesting how different social expectations affect behavior - men are allowed to take more risks, while women are supposedly not. After that, the discussion went in a completely different direction - there were more facts, less speculation, and I even noticed how one of my friends began to treat the topic more carefully after that.

Hello. More and more often I began to notice that people perceive risk differently. For some, it is a challenge and excitement, for others, anxiety and the need to calculate every detail. In such things, even gender and age sometimes play a role, although there are plenty of exceptions. This is a complex, but very lively and interesting topic.
